ABOUT
BLACK GREEK FESTIVAL
MISSION & VISION.
NOTABLE BLACK GREEKS.
To host Black Greek Letter Organizations (BGLO) members virtually and (safely) in-person during our inaugural year, the weekend festival events will focus on the need to stimulate D.C.'s local economy to encourage leadership with BGLO Greeks to empower our communities post-COVID-19.
Designed in March 2020, Black Greek Festival's framework sets to provide a space for fellowship and community engagement:
STRENGTHEN THE ECONOMY:
With events such as a panel discussion and the Black Greek™ Fest Brunch Olympics, we will encourage and strengthen the connection of Black-owned businesses locally, while providing members with the tools to empower their communities.
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Charged with a lifelong commitment to serving others, Black Greek Fest™
attendees will provide service to the local D.C. community’s biggest concerns, homelessness.
CELEBRATING UNITY:
Our Black Greek Fest™ Step Show and Black Greek Festival™ will allow for fellowship among Divine Nine members to engage with one another while honoring the historical founding mission of their respective organizations.
